Our client, a Real Estate Management firm of over 5,000 residential units in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn is seeking an Assistant Director of Property Management.

The candidate will be on track to become the Director of Property Management within 3-5 years, depending on experience and expertise.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Manage a select portfolio of buildings which responsibilities include:
  • Day to day management of physical buildings including communicate with supers and contractors
  • Determine day to day needs and initiate appropriate purchase orders
  • Oversee renovation and re-renting of vacant units. Conduct building inspections and recommend repairs/upgrades
  • Responsible for insuring that the buildings are run up to code in a compliant manner, including any and all permits, signage, registration, etc.
  1. Senior Management duties:
  • Implement procedures as directed by Senior Management by working with all property managers
  • Oversee third party vendors that currently track water and fuel use.
  • Implement vendor’s directions on savings companywide
  • Gather company wide information from all Property Managers as needed
  • Issue monthly report on Fuel and water usage with the goal of taking these tasks in house (eliminate third party vendors)
  • Oversee, track and report status of repairs for Bank and Insurance recommendations companywide
  • Oversee capital projects in the $15k-25k range and report to Director
  • Supervise “specialty projects” with a special emphasis on keeping the management group up to date with new technology. Current projects include: L.E.D. lighting and internet ready cameras
  1. Assist Director of Property Management:
  • Quarterly review of all properties’ repair & maintenance expenses
  • Assist in analyzing, bidding, and implementing all capital projects of $25k
  • Qualifications:
    • 10 years of property management experience
    • 5+ years as a multi-state manager in New York
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least three years supervising staff
    • Experience with HUD Section 8 and REAC Inspections preferred
    • Self-Starter, motivated and have great communication skills

Senior Accountant for Fund Company in Greater New York City

Currently working with a dynamic industrial company who is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant for their company. The role will have regular interaction to all executive and partners with unlimited growth potential opportunities. They are located in the Greater New York City area and they offer the opportunity to work remotely a couple of days out of the month.

Responsibilities include: 
• Responsible for the preparation of month end and quarterly accounting records including trail balances, allocations, expense accruals, management fees, and capital activities

Our client, a financial services firm located in Wall Street, seeks an Accountant to join their team.  The accountant will work specifically in financial reporting in quarterly IFRS, GAAP and would be focused on the STAT Technical Reporting process.

Our client, a global financials services firm, seeks an Accountant / Finance professional in Downtown, New York City. The candidate would have heavy experience with travel and expenses using Concur.  The firm has many international offices and are implementing a new travel platform, through a web-based system that will incorporate travel booking, expense reimbursement, and reporting.

The Travel Expense Accountant, will support the finance function and be responsible for various tasks in support of the Travel expense processes.

The candidate will be the key contact to users to support them in any requests, for instance:

  • Support users to book their travels in the reserving tool
  • Contact users when appropriate approval is missing or when support is not provided for reimbursement
  • Help users in case of reimbursement issues
  • Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure diligent processing of expense reports

The candidate will be the key contacts to travels suppliers, he/she could be asked to coordinate with local hotels to set up contracts for all of the firm or contact Concur / Amex for any issues related to booking/accounting.
