My client, a Private Equity firm, seeks a CFO for one of their new portfolio companies. This role will be working with a firm with $20 million in combined revenue. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and other key management/Board of Directors and will be considered part of the Senior Middle Management.  They seek a candidate that will be able to look at the “big picture”, entrepreneurial mindset as well as have high energy and high-performance track record.

About the Firm:

  • The company is a business to business (B2B) media and content firm focusing on putting together conferences and websites for their clients
  • Firm has an established clientele therefore there is minimum risk
  • Working out of New York City but will be traveling to their West Coast office and occasionally overseas

Responsibilities of a Chief Financial Officer:

  • Strategic Planning, working on the acquisition and integration, cash flow management, implement KPIs/metrics
  • Financial Reporting, Forecasting, Budgeting, Audit work as well as overseeing monthly/quarterly close
  • Own banking relationships, bank covenants; working on international tax (VAT Tax), Foreign Exchange
  • The CFO will work across all departments in the company including Human Resources, IT, Risk Management, Sales and Operations
  • Manage an accounting/finance team

Qualifications of a Chief Financial Officer:

  • 10 years of experience focusing on finance and accounting functions; management experience a must
  • CPA preferred, MBA also a plus
  • Experience with a private equity /venture capital firm a plus.
