Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning of events both locally and nationally
  • Support fundraising growth
  • Manage event budgets to ensure proper use of funds
  • Follow up with alumni via phone and email and keep accurate record of details
  • Document, track and analyze outcome of events
  • Work closely with other departments such as Career Services and Admissions

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Experience with education or alumni programs a plus
  • Knowledge of social media preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Coordinate travel arrangements through Concur booking tool or travel agents.
  • Assist with SharePoint site content management and administration.
  • Use extensive knowledge of internal business practices and priorities to proactively respond to daily issues and requests as authorized, keeping them apprised of critical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with at least five years of executive/administrative assistant experience supporting partners and directors.
  • Intermediate-to-Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Professional, Outlook and web based applications are required. Working knowledge of CRM, SharePoint and Concur is a plus.
  • User expertise of office technology equipment such as videoconferencing, MFD’s and LCD projectors.
  • Professional presence and exceptional client service skills, exercising a high level of confidentiality in all work products and communications.
  • Use knowledge of business and priorities to proactively respond to daily issues and requests as authorized, keeping stakeholders apprised of critical issues.

We are currently working on two roles in financial analysis to join their team. They are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst and a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis with experience working on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).

Both roles are located in their Parsippany, New Jersey office.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and report historical and forecast costings.
  • Analyze and report significant product cost variances based on changes in raw material costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Sales and Supply Chain to insure appropriate gross to net deductions are maintained and updated.
  • Provide timely preparation of transfer pricing between plants and warehouses.
  • Work on due diligence of potential Mergers and Acquisitions including reviewing financials and making recommendations on a strategic level working with the CFO, COO and Board of Directors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

Responsibilities of a Senior Accountant:

  • Focus on day to day accounting activities such as managing and reconciling prepaid expenses, intercompany billing, credit card advances, accrued payables, prepare journal entries for month and year end close and supporting the Controller on the annual audit workpapers, bank reconciliations
  • The Senior Accountant will be monitoring the global fixed assets functions including the depreciation schedule and related general ledger accounts
  • Work on processing payroll for the company on a contingency basis
  • Additional ad hoc responsibilities such as analysis projects, preparing monthly financial statements for management and supplemental financial reports including deferred revenue and program expense

Qualifications of a Senior Accountant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit environment, Strong GAAP accounting experience
  • Experience with a nonprofit software such as MIP, Intacct or Financial Edge Blackbaud; as well as Payroll Service such as ADP
  • Proven ability to effectively process financial and budgetary information.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform accurate data entry.
  • Highly motivated and the ability to work productively in team as well as independently.

We are currently working with a client with a great mission statement for their nonprofit! They are one of the most prestigious and long lasting nonprofits based in New York City and work to help New Yorkers.  They are seeking a Director of Finance and Administration to help them continue to service the New York City community.

This position will be reporting to the Executive Director and the Director of Finance will be a hands-on manager capable of playing a strong role on the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and operations as the firm continues to grow in scope and impact.

Responsibilities of the Director of Finance:

  • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; and oversee all financial, investments, project/program and grants accounting.
  • Work on the day to day accounting functions by overseeing a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for the firm’s payables and receivables, bank reconciliations and working on the close. The Director of Finance will also be working on the various filings and be the liaison to the Auditors
  • Oversee and further develop Human Resources, Technology, and other operational area where the Director of Finance will organize and update the policies and procedures for effectiveness
  • Work strategically with the Executive Director and Committee members regarding raising funds and other areas of the business.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in finance, accounting and operations management in Nonprofit. Would be open to someone with a mixed background
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong GAAP experience, working on nonprofit audits and financial analysis
  • Quickbooks experience or other accounting and reporting software but should be tech savvy
  • Strategic and thoughtful regarding problem solving skills and decision making
  • Interest in the mission and showing passion for the cause and the people that work for the firm
