The client is a privately-owned, specialty contracting and engineering firm in California that has been in business for over 70 years.

Qualifications:

  •  5+ Years in Controller or CFO role with similar scope
  • 15+ Years of Professional Runway and demonstrated desire to grow
  • Electrical Contracting Background preferred; Mech/Plumbing second; Other Subcontractor or General Engineering third; General Contractor fourth. (INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS A REQUIREMENT!)
  • $80-150M preferred organization size
  • CPA or MBA preferred, not required depending on experience

Team Leadership:  Demonstrated Team Leadership Including Recruiting and Management

  • Business Planning: Demonstrated Involvement in Working With Key Managers on Project Reviews and Business Planning.
  • Risk Management: Demonstrated Risk Management Experience Including Contracts and Insurance

Hiring: Divisional Controller for Medical Clinic in Portland, Oregon – Relo Available!

Largest Medical Clinic in Oregon is seeking a Divisional Controller. This role will be reporting into the CFO and there is a path to eventually become the CFO of the firm.  This role focuses on budgeting, physicians compensation plans and will be working alongside the operations directors.  The company will offer relocation assistance.

The Divisional Controller is responsible for the financial aspects, including financial reporting, budgeting, physician compensation arrangements, and administering physician buy- in/buy-out arrangements.

Job Duties:

  1. Financial liaison to assigned divisions.
  2. Review and distribution of monthly financial reporting.
  3. Annual budget preparation. This position works directly with the Directors of Operations to create and present the annual budgets.
  4. Responsible for monitoring financial performance against budget, and providing variance analysis on a quarterly basis.
  5. Administering physician compensation arrangements, including maintaining a current Physician Compensation Formula policy. On a quarterly basis, responsible for ensuring physician compensation is calculated in accordance with the policy.
  6. Understanding and administering physician buy-in/buy-out practices for assigned divisions.
  7. Working knowledge of contracts that divisions may have with hospital systems, and administration of contracts.
  8. Assist Directors of Operations as needed with financial information requests.

 Requirements:          

  • BS/BA in Accounting.
  • 10+ years’ experience in accounting /leadership role
  • Experience in  healthcare physician’s group environment.
  • Understanding of medical group culture and ability to work effectively with physician owners
